La Bienquerida is a single plot in the paraje Las Chas, planted in 1906 on slate. As in many old sites, the vineyard is co-planted with Mencía, Merenzao, Doña Blanca, Pan y Carne and Palomino. It has been aged for 15 months in French 500L barrels and one foudre which is already well integrated with the bold and intense fruit of Valtuille de Arriba. Red cherry, blackcurrant and violets segue into a slatey, ferrous palate with a twist of orange. The wine has a mineral, flinty core, and is both powerful yet poised. 2024-34 (Top 100)

Still very young, this is a bold wine with impressive structure from the paraje El Cepón where Losada sources 96-year-old vines grown on sand and clay soils. It is a very perfumed wine with pretty potpourri aromas and a touch of chocolate. Oak is present – it spends 13 months in French foudres – but is carried by intense fruit and the wonderful combination of energy and finesse. Give this wine at least another year in bottle so it can start to show its full potential. 2025-32. (Top 100)

This is a limited edition Godello from old bush vines in the village of San Lorenzo. The vineyard is planted on slate which defines the wine with a steely backbone. Pretty white floral and citrus notes combine with stone fruit and pear, and finally, profound minerality with a saline lift. It spends eight months in 2,000L French foudre which contributes to a creamy texture and gentle woody spice. A complex yet very approachable white. 2024-28. (Top 100)
